Hi! I’m Kelly, a Portland-based fused glass artist and teacher who considers myself lucky to be in the same town as Bullseye Glass. I’ve also been an avid needlepoint stitcher for more than 20 years and recently even worked in a needlepoint store - I just love creating with my hands. So, I decided to combine my two artistic passions to make handcrafted fused glass needle minders. I like to think of them as a little piece of art for your art!

Fused glass is the process of layering sheets or pieces of glass, sometimes adding frit (crushed glass), and firing it in a kiln until the glass melts together, sometimes doing multiple firings per item with each firing taking more than 12 hours to complete. It always makes my heart sing to open my kiln to see what my creations have become.

Beau Verre is French for beautiful glass and it’s a play on my last name “Bo-ver-man” - I like to pretend you’re saying it with a french accent! My glass art is a reflection of my love for color and whimsical design. Each handcrafted Beau Verre Art needle minder is thoughtfully crafted, has strong neodymium magnets, and varies in size from .85 inches up to 2 inches so they work well with all types and sizes of projects. They also make thoughtful, one-of-a-kind gifts for your favorite stitchers or a unique stitching accessory to carry in your store.
