Salt Bowl with Fused Glass Lid
Handmade olive wood salt bowl with handmade glass lid.
The lid is produced by a three step process. The first part of the process is making a part sheet. A stainless steel form is filled with bits of murrini and vitrigraph confetti. Then we chop up the part sheet and fill stainless steel rings with the pieces deciding which side of the piece we want facing up. After those pieces melt and flow filling the ring, the disc is ground to fit the individual handmade salt bowl which are different in size. No two are alike!
